My flickr stream

I’ve been a bit absent recently. I’ve started a new job helping to refresh our council website. It is consuming all my time and when I get back from work I just feel like doing something calming. I haven’t even had much time to play any games.

I have started using my Flickr account much more, I find the quality of the pictures to be better than Facebook. So feel free to check them out. I’ve also uploaded a bunch of photographs that may or may not turn up in my pictures at a later date. As you can see I’m happy to take a shot of the most innocuous stuff from drains to dandelions.

First Cut – Paper at the Cutting Edge is coming to Southampton

I live in Southampton on the south coast of England and we have some wonderful galleries and museums. One of which is the SeaCity Museum, which has had some excellent exhibitions on since last year.

A new exhibition is coming in October is the First Cut – Paper at the Cutting Edge. Which is on tour from the Manchester Art Gallery. It will be at the Pavilion in the SeaCity Museum.

The First Cut features works by over 30 international contemporary artists who radically rethink the possibilities of working with paper. It explores how artists transform paper, through cutting, folding and sculpting, into amazingly powerful creations.

I really urge you that if you are close to Southampton between 11 October 2013 and 12 January 2014 you really should go. The exhibition won’t be going to London so if you want to see these amazing sculptures come down and see it here.

For updates I suggest you follow @SeaCityMuseum on Twitter for some preview pictures of the exhibition going up.
