I am an artist and illustrator from Southampton in the UK. I create drawings, paintings and geometric patterns from the natural world around me.
I have been making art for as long as I can remember. At an early age I did a course in archaeological illustration which was a good grounding in doing very precise accurate drawings and although I didn’t go on to a career in this field I have found it a very useful skill to be able to recreate objects precisely.
At university I painted jackets and even a guitar and made doodles all over my notes. Even now most pieces of paper near me have some form of drawing on them and this is often where I first get ideas for bigger pieces.
With help from my friends at The Art House in Southampton I’ve been lucky enough to feature in a number of their exhibitions. I have also had a piece in the Dr Who exhibition at The National Science and Media Museum in Bradford.
